About myself

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering at the National University of Singapore, where I have learned the fundamentals of AI, data structures, databases, cloud computing and data engineering with a main focus on software engineering. I also had the opportunity to study Computer Science at the University of Melbourne for one semester as part of an exchange program. As an individual that has been passionate about technology, I have always been curious and like to explore new things within the field. As such, I have engaged in web-development projects as well as created a Telegram bot in my free time.

Setting aside technical aspects, I engage in physical activities whenever possible. I served as the Vice Captain for my Hall's Floorball team and participated in other sports such as Muay Thai and Ultimate Frisbee with my most recent hobby being Bouldering! These activities provide me with a break from the otherwise stationary lifestyle that most Software Engineers face and offer opportunities to make new friends.

Software Engineer Intern

Developed on internal services that support Autodesk’s product usage data through the integration and maintenance of data pipelines that employ numerous Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Apache services.

  • Upgraded the backend APIs of existing Python and Java frameworks and underwent AWS trainings provided by the company.
  • Utilized Apache Airflow to update functionality and orchestrate ETL pipelines, improving user experience on existing services.
  • Performed quality assurance through implementing automated test projects for services provided by the team.
  • Collaborated with team members closely using the AGILE framework to ensure Epics and Sprints were met.

PeerPrep

This project is a real-time, collaborative website that allows users to code together. It is built on a microservices architecture using NextJS, ExpressJS, Socket.IO, RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL and deployed on AWS.

Capstone Project

This project aimed to showcase what we have learnt over the last 4 years. We were tasked to create a laser tag game with various IoT devices that uses a HiveMQTT broker.

ICT+

Handling your ICT administration in a more intuitive manner and prepare your personal equipment with ease

FoodLeh

Our aim is to provide a centralised platform for small F&B owners/cloud kitchen facility a POS such that they can dispatch the orders through a web application.

Fitbot CLI Application

Fitbot is a desktop app that helps to keep track of calorie consumption and calorie output with the speed and convenience of command-line based tools.

KE7 Web Portal

This portal was intended for hall residents to book, organize and plan events through a web application, built on ReactJS & PostgreSQL

FPGA Project

Created a Sight and Sound Entertainment System using a Basys 3 Development Board with audio input from PmodMIC3 and visual output from PmodOLEDrgb.

RTOS Project

This project was to design a robotic vehicle that is piloted through an Android application. Learned scheduling algorithms, multi-threading, resource locking and more.

This website was built by me in 2023 using NextJS and ChakraUI.
